You can use GMail filters and labels in a number of ways. I think they are an essential skill for IM and are especially useful when dealing with Google Alerts.

Anyone using content analyser software to increase their rankings??   I think I've tried nearly all of them over the last year or so and think I've finally found one that works .  It's easy to use (some are very convoluted) and pretty much improves my rankings to some extent just with on page modifications in about 80-90% of cases.  I'm pretty much spending all my time updating pages at the moment as it seems to work so well. 

The one I'm using is called SurferSEO, I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else is using anything similar.

I live in Estes Park Colorado which was ordered to evacuate a few days ago because of two huge forest fires, one a few miles to the north and the other is headed our way from the west. The west fire (Troublesome fire) was slowed about 1/2 mile from reaching town by the snow. Both fires are still burning. Some folks have been allowed to return to town but should be ready to leave again because the fires aren't totally out and could strt raging again.

I'm out of state visiting family and not in my usual work space so I may not be as available as before. If you need to get a hold of me give me a little extra time, I'm not ignoring you I'm just a little slow and running behind.

This pic was taken in Estes on Sun. While the snow has really helped the fires it didn't put them out and it has hurt the crews trying to reach the fires and one fire truck even slid off the road trying to get to the fire.

First I let my domain name KurtMelvin.com lapse. It's registered with a service I don't use much and just missed it. I renewed it OK but it's taking a while to propogate and not noticing I've sent emails with links to that domain so....not good.

Then I notice the VPS that hosts some of my domains, including KurtMelvin.com and this one Pheeds.com was down. So I log into my hosting account to request support. It wasn't just my VPS down but it appears the host's entire network was down. I've had the VPS go down for short periods once in a while, but have never not been able to even log into the host's site and support system.

Now for a double-dose of aspirin...
