Lightbulb Most Common City Names in US - Brainstorm
Posted by: Kurt - 06-13-2020, 09:17 PM - Forum: Cash Cow Marketing - Replies (7)

Here's a list of the most common names of cities/towns in the US. For example there are 42 towns in the USA named "Franklin".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_th...lace_names

It seems I'm missing something and can't quite come up with it...maybe local sites using these city names so that you can increase your potential market of buyers? For example buy a domain like "FranklinBikes.com" and you have 42 potential customers interested in the site (assuming every Frankin has a bike shop).

The downside of this is it's a one time sale. You build something and sell it. Then have to build another to be able to sell it.

On the other hand, it being a one time sale is because there can only be one "FrankinBikes.com" creating real scarcity.

How can marketers possibly use this?

PayPal acquires Honey and the future of Amazon niche sites

PayPal acquires Honey
Source: JoinHoney.com

Is this a good thing for Internet Marketing? Honey is the leading money saver app on the market. Honey simply saves customers money!

Enter the Internet Marketer with one or more Amazon niche sites .

How does Honey affect Amazon sales?

Quote:Honey is a free browser extension that saves you money on Amazon. We compare every seller to show the best price (even if Amazon doesn't). It's also your Amazon price tracker and price history tool all-in-one. * Amazon and Honey are not affiliated. Source: JoinHoney.com

Traditionally, we Internet Marketers offered bonuses as incentives to prospective buyers which is one way to improve CTRs. Traditionally, participating merchants would pay a small fee to Honey when a customer searched with Honey and purchased.

Savvy buyers know that Honey is designed to save them money, so they be will inclined to research Honey before purchasing from your niche site(s). And now that PayPal is involved you can bet your last dollar that Honey will be made public in ways that Honey never could.

What does the future hold for niche sales?

  What's Youtube going to do?
Posted by: Kurt - 06-12-2020, 06:16 AM - Forum: Cash Cow Marketing - No Replies

I read that Youtube is getting more video views but is making less money. It's obvious Google will try to do something about this as spending more money while making less doesn't seem to be their SOP.

What do you think they'll do to try to offset this? They're already showing so many ads without a membership I don't see how they can add more.

YouTube's trend seems to be away from small niche channels to wanting YouTube "stars".

  Pheed Me Traffic System
Posted by: Kurt - 06-11-2020, 07:55 PM - Forum: The Pharmers Market - Replies (1)

We all need more traffic. Even better if it's free traffic. So I put put together Pheed Me Traffic. I haven't released this before and it's only available to you through this email. I'll probably launch it soon.

It's a combination of some simple but powerful traffic hacks and it's also kind of a "work book".

There's nothing more to buy, although one tool I recommend has a paid option, but I've included a work-around for it so you don't have to pay anything...

Pheed Me Traffic is a system that uses Google Alerts. But we don't just want updated info. Instead we want to know where there is content related to our niches that we can post comments on.

The report will take you about 15 minutes to read and you'll discover a couple of unique traffic tips in it you can put to use a minute after...

I've also set it up so you can quickly modify a bunch of special Google Alert searches with your own keywords in about a minute. This saves you a lot of time..

The "work" is adding them to Google Alerts. You just copy and paste them into Alerts and let Google find for you the best places to post comments.

Just keep adding alerts when you get a chance and you'll have a marketing machine in no time. This system not only drives traffic directly, but also builds links to your web properties. And you only have to enter an alert one time and it can help you get traffic, links and make money for years in the future.

Included is a potent Quora trick as well as how to get the best results from posting on Reddit as well as some other advice and methods.

There's nothing else to buy and I haven't set up a "funnel". Just a little page with a PayPal button and then a download link.

What hidden value do you add to your products?
Posted by: Kurt - 06-11-2020, 01:46 AM - Forum: Cash Cow Marketing - No Replies

Do you add anything of value to your products that your folks many not even realize are included?

One thing I do is for PDF reports is I don't add heavy headers or footers or large solod black areas. If someone wants to print the PDF this will drain their ink a lot faster.

If you have to highlight an area with a background, use a light gray instead because it uses a lot less ink. I design PDFs with printer ink in mind and doubt anyone realizes it. Smile

  Intent/Spirit or Letter?
Posted by: Kurt - 05-31-2020, 09:42 PM - Forum: Water Trough - Off Topic - Replies (2)

When it comes to laws and rules are you a letter of the law person or spirit (intent) of the law person?

For example there was a scene on Andy Griffith were Barney was giving tickets to truck drivers going only a few miles over the speed limit. Andy talked with how they always let truckers get a little extra speed going down that hill there before they had to go back uphill so they build momentum.

Barney was by the book, letter of the law, arguing about how the law was specific and the truckers broke the law.

I'm an intent person and try to follow what a law or rule wants to accomplish more than what it may say exactly and would take Andy's side in this argument.

Do you side with Andy or Barney?

  Passwords, quizzes and privacy
Posted by: Kurt - 05-31-2020, 07:03 PM - Forum: Cash Cow Marketing - Replies (4)

You see a lot of those "what kind of tree am I" personality quizzes on social media as well as warnings about how these sites can use this info to help guess your passwords and security questions.

One way to be safer is not to use this kind of info in your passwords. I suggest creating a secret formula and not just a secret password.

A formula something like this:

Choose a base word where some of the special characters can be substituted for letters:
island
becomes
!$l@nd

Now add a two digit number you'll remember somewhere:
!$l@nd35

Pick a position in the string and take the first 2-3 letters of the domain and capitalize them and add them. If I were creating a password for Google, my password may be:
!GOO$l@nd35

FaceBook might be:
!FAC$l@nd35

With a formula you can have unique passwords for each site that are not only secure but you can "solve" the formula if you need to.
