Growing up my Grandmother used "gumption" and whenever I hear it I think of her and wish it was used more today. She also used "in a month of Sundays" and "a coon's age" to mean "a long time".

Any words or phrases that bring up memories of your past?

Some of these are from my grandma, grandpa and adults. Also, so,ef these are from childhood teachers.

'Okey dokey'
Used in the same way as 'OK' to show that you agree to something, or that you want to start talking about something else or doing something else.

'Get it done'
Used when I agree with a staff member's recommendation, or after I direct a staff member to take action.

'Do as I say and not as I do'
Used politely when a staff member goes left when they 'know' they should have gone right.
Side note: Not recommended to use jokingly when speaking to your wife.

'I was thinking and yes it hurt'
Used when I have to make a difficult decision that will affect a difficult outcome.

'There are gold nuggets in that post'
Used when someone goes above-n-beyond by sharing or explaining little known tips and tricks.

'Give it up'
Used when the wifey is feeling frisky.

Honestly, in person I am known as someone that uses one-liners and someone that doesn't talk much, but when I do people that know me say - it is golden. Man, are they lonely people or what?
