Happy Retirement - Pearson458 - 03-10-2021

You've made the right decision to step back. I didn't do it that young and in my retirement Sickness has meant that I'm housebound. I've got cancer now as well so I think there will be many things I wanted to do left undone. Wish I'd retired at 62.

The good thing about IM is that you can do it as often or as little as you want. It's fun, not a job.

Hi Pearson...

Most of all I wish you well and hope for the best.

In the USA it's a tough choice to get Social Security at 62 or wait until you're older and get a higher check. We simply don't have enough info to make the optimal choice. Will I die in a year or two or will I live to be 80?

I've had relatives live to be in their 90s and 100s. But my closest relatives died before they reached retirement age. My grandmother taught  school for 22 years and I remember her always talking about her plans for retirement. She was really looking forward to it. She never made it to retirement age before passing away. Her memory probably swayed my decision more than anything.

Part of my retirement plan has always included IM. As long as I can see, type and think I should be able to do IM. For me personally it means I probably won't create IM products and look for affiliates to promote them, at least not as often.. I don't do well with recruiting affiliates because I don't automatically reciprocate and I'm not very good at networking.

To add to my post above. I'm still doing IM. I just created my first new Youtube channel in years. The difference is, this new channel is in a niche I have a "passion" for and has nothing to do with IM. It will have a high percentage of "short" videos. I hope to get 30-50 short videos up on the channel and see what happens.

Also, I hope to be more involved with buying and selling domain names.
