What are some of your favorite FREE marketing resources? Extra credit if we haven't heard of them before. Let's be more creative than saying WP. Instead maybe give us a great free plugin.
Of course I'm going to list MYBB. It takes about 3 min. to install if you have Softaculous or Fantistico or 10 min if you do it manually (and know how).

Fontbase - It's a free font manager that works a little differently than others. It lets you organize and turn fonts on and off so they don't load in your programs every time. If you do design work and have a lot of fonts, Fontbase makes it easy so you don't have to scroll through 10,000 fonts every time...unless you want to. Fontbase is for the font addicts that can't delete fonts but don't want all the clutter either.

Motomo Web Analytics - I posted another thread about Matomo and IMO anyone that's serious about web marketing and wants to get great traffic info needs Matomo...especially if you're concerned about Google privacy issues for you and your visitors.

Wew, I have years of favorites and years of essential resources that are only applicable to the businesses I own and operate and the projects I am working on. Over the yeas I have them in categories, so when I work on a particular business and need a resource I can locate and launch specific resources without too much trouble. Call me old fashioned or old school, but I use MS FrontPage daily to add to or take away from an HTML list.
These are my main desktop go-to apps that I use daily.
Microsoft Frontpage.
It is old and not supported anymore, but works just as good if not better than the day it was originally released. I say 'if not better' because I have tweaked it over the years. I have created HTML "master lists" that open in different tabs in my browsers.
PHP Designer.
phpDesigner 8 is a fast PHP IDE and PHP editor with built-in HTML5-, CSS3- and JavaScript editors boosted with features to help you create amazing websites. phpDesigner 8 helps you with all from editing, analyzing, debugging to publishing websites powered by PHP, HTML5, CSS3 to JavaScript.
These are my essentials even though I may only use them a few times a week.
Checklists.
MS FrontPage Checklists are essential to covering all my bases, i.e. so I don't forget something important. Mainly 'actions' that are mandatory. Lest I forget and have to backtrack. Sorta like my personal AI lol.
Google Mail. So many years and lots of mishaps over the years. I use Google Mail to upload my HTML, Checklists, and even database backups for safekeeping.
GIMP.
GIMP is a free and open-source raster graphics editor used for images.
Okay, not as advanced as PhotoShop, but you can't beat the free price and it's easy to learn.
When I want to do keyword research on different search engines I like to conduct the searches anonymously since most search engines track things like your search history, the city you are in, etc. Different results sometimes render significant results.
I use
https://anonymiz.com
Just add the website you want to visit anonymously after the "?" mark.
Example of how to configure a simple search with Google:

Epic Privacy Browser

Quote:Epic is a private and secure web browser that blocks ads, trackers, fingerprinting, cryptomining, ultrasound signaling and more. Stop 600+ tracking attempts in an average browsing session. Turn on network privacy with our free VPN (servers in 8 countries).
Epic blocks more trackers than any other browser I've found. It's based on Chromium so it works a lot like Chrome.
I use it when I need to check things with different accounts, like when I was setting up this forum. Sometimes you need to log in as a member instead of as the Admin and Epic is great for this.
I like
www.giveawayoftheday.com. I've found a lot of good free software there. If you haven't seen them yet be sure to bookmark them and check regularly.

Instead of typing the entire URI you can use whois.sc

Ninite is a free, no hassle service that installs and updates a bunch of the most popular GPL WIN apps all at one. It's especially handy when you get a new PC.

Knowem checks over 575 social networks to see if your brand name is available for registering accounts.

I haven't tried this, but it looks pretty cool.
