Yeongju

Yeongju (Yeongjushi (영주시, 榮州市; "Yeongju City") in Korean) is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

Puseoksa Temple in Yeongju is outstanding as a representative temple of Avatamska Sect of Shilla Buddhism. Sosu Seowon is the original Confucian Academy and the first to have had national financial support by way of tax exemptions.
