A glorious space in which many wonderful things are to be found. Not to be missed is John Singleton Copley's disquieting portrait of the Mifflins; you will be told their marriage was a happy one, and perhaps it was, but you certainly won't feel that way. The painting and other items in the American Collection are rumored to connect with the Museum's preŽminent ghost.
