Pandion

In Greek mythology, there were two individuals called Pandion.

  1. The father of Aegeas, Pallas, Nisos and Lykos. He was a son of Cecrops and was exiled from Athens but became King of Megara.
  2. Father of Erechtheus, Butes, Procne and Philomela by Zeuxippe. He was a King of Athens.

In biology, Pandion is a genus of birds of prey with a single member: the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus).
