James D. Dole

James Dole or Jim Dole developed the pineapple industry in Hawaii and headed the "Hawaiian Pineapple Company" which became the Dole Food Company.

Dole was a first cousin once removed of Sanford Ballard Dole, president of the Republic of Hawaii.
