The Bose Corporation is an American manufacturer of high end audio equipment, particularly speakerss. The company was founded in 1964 by Dr. Amar G. Bose, a professor of electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. As of 2003, the company employeed about 8,000 people worldwide and had revenues of over $1 billion. Dr. Bose remains the CEO today.The company is known for making small speakers with exceptional acoustic characteristics.
